Dr. Rebekah Potter

Dr. Rebekah Potter is a specialist anaesthetist who completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Sydney, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery.

Dr. Potter undertook her postgraduate and specialty anaesthetic training in the Hunter New England area. Throughout this time, she worked in Newcastle, Maitland and Tamworth. For her final year of training, Dr. Potter undertook a fellowship in Anaesthesia, Simulation and Education at the John Hunter Hospital.

Since completing her training, Dr. Potter works as a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist at John Hunter and Belmont Hospitals, as well as in the private sector. She works across a range of surgical specialties and continues to be involved in simulation and education, using the skills gained during her fellowship. Dr. Potter has a strong interest in perioperative medicine and has undertaken further study in this area to enhance her skills in the assessment and optimisation of patients undergoing anaesthesia.

When not working, Dr. Potter enjoys either running around after her two small children, or running the streets of Newcastle training for her next event.
