Our Values
Horizon Anaesthesia was founded on a desire to create a group of specialist anaesthetists who value the provision of high-quality anaesthesia and who strive to behave with integrity befitting the profession.
We recognised the growing diversity of the anaesthesia workforce, across gender and ethnicity as well as an increasing proportion of specialist anaesthetists working part-time. We welcome these developments and created an anaesthetic group and billing service with the goal of being a cohesive, sympathetic, collegial and supportive collective of individuals.
Ethical billing structure
Anaesthetic groups commonly charge a percentage of anaesthetists’ income as fees. We wanted to change that.
Horizon Anaesthesia strongly believes in medical professionals only paying for the services they receive. We use an ethical billing structure that serves to provide all administrative services to enable anaesthetists to run their practice efficiently and easily.
We aim to be flexible, adaptable and cost effective, allowing anaesthetists to focus on their clinical work and relax on their time off.
Patient-centred approach
Horizon Anaesthesia aims to educate the community about anaesthesia and ensure each patient is receiving the very best experience.
One of the core values shared by our administration team and Horizon Anaesthesia clinicians is ensuring patients are well informed and empowered in their healthcare journey, to build trust in these relationships and to close the gap between the patient and their anaesthetist.
