Elyse Farrow

Dr. Elyse Farrow

Dr. Elyse Farrow is a specialist anaesthetist who completed her postgraduate medical studies at The University of Sydney, where she was awarded her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery. Prior to this, Dr. Farrow studied Molecular Biology and Genetics at the University of Sydney.

Dr. Farrow undertook her prevocational training in the Hunter New England region, before completing her anaesthetics training in Newcastle, Maitland and Tamworth. During her training, Dr. Farrow completed a Graduate Certificate in Medical Education through Flinders University. She then gained invaluable experience in neonatal and paediatric anaesthesia, including liver transplant, through a fellowship at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Dr. Farrow is now based in Newcastle, working as a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist at John Hunter Hospital, as well as several private hospitals. She maintains her special interest in paediatric anaesthesia, as well as obstetrics, ENT, upper GI, and spinal surgery.

Outside of the hospital, instead of having hobbies she has three young children.
